In the Kirsilban Valley, as in most valleys of Talahú, the river starts underground with the help of spirits, emerges into daylight, forms a valley, and then disappears into a sinkhole (Ul Satnimi). People here live a sedentary lifestyle, using the local river waters to grow crops. They travel between valleys with the guidance of unique people called Akusom, who can communicate with the desert and find safe routes through it.
